1Da Banton opens up on what Burna Boy did for him when “No Wahala” started making waves.
Nigerian singer/Producer, 1Da Banton has opened up on how Burna boy supported him after he started finding fame thanks to his hit song, “No Wahala“.
Banton was a guest on Coolfm and the interviewer, Do2tun questioned him on whether any of his fellow Port-Harcourt have shown him support.
Ida Banton revealed that Burna was the first artist to reach out to him when “No Wahala‘ started making waves. He said that the African Giant invited him over to his house to mentor him on the way forward.
According to him, Burna and his A&R, Matthew gave him ideas on how to properly market the song and the way forward.

In his words;
“I have to say, I have never said this before, I don’t why. But when no wahala started peaked for the first time, Burna and his team were the first people to reach out and they were like bro, you need to come to the house. I remember I was even in Lagos, my manager called me like, bro, Burna and his team they really want to see you, they want to talk about the ayw forward.
So I went to Burna’s place, it was my first time at his house, we were welcomed, you know Port- Harcourt boy, you get me. Shout out to Matthew, he’s part of Burna team as an A&R and an executive, you get me, so they introduced us to the ideas, because our song just blew up and we actually didn’t know the impact they had worldwide, outside Lagos and Africa in general.”
IDa also spoke on producing Ajebo Hustlers’s 2020 hit song, “Barawo“.
