FULL LIST: Odumodublvck, Mohbad dominate 2024 Headies Award nominations

Nigeria’s most prestigious music awards, The Headies, has officially set the stage for its 17th edition with the release of its highly anticipated nominations list on February 12, 2025.
This year’s Headies Awards season is now in full swing as organizers unveil the full lineup of nominees, celebrating the achievements of both Nigerian and international artists who have made a significant impact on the music industry over the past year.
Leading the nominations is Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, who dominates the list with five nods. Following closely behind are Ayra Starr (Oyinkansola Aderibigbe) and Shallipopi (Crown Uzama), each securing three nominations.
Odumodublvck is also a strong contender in the Best Collaboration category, where he competes with two songs alongside heavyweights like Chike, Wizkid, Zlatan, Asa, and Tiwa Savage.
A poignant moment in this year’s nominations is the recognition of the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, who posthumously received three nominations despite his untimely passing on September 12, 2023.
The official announcement, shared via the Headies’ X (formerly Twitter) handle, highlights key categories such as Producer of the Year, Best Recording of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Best R&B Single, Rookie of the Year, Best Rap Single, Best Vocal Performance (Female), Music Video of the Year, and Best Collaboration.
