Nigerian artist Zlatan has opened up about the pivotal roles played by Davido and Olamide in his journey to stardom.
Zlatan Ibile revealed how Davido and Olamide provided crucial support during his early days in the music scene, acknowledging that the path to success was not without its challenges. Financial obligations such as studio session fees, choreographers, set designers, and songwriters posed significant hurdles for emerging artists.
During an interview, Zlatan disclosed that Olamide generously offered him a complimentary verse for one of his songs after discovering him on Instagram.
He recounted, “Olamide saw me on Instagram and called me up. He made a song for me for free and even attended the video shoot without charge. That was my breakthrough song in 2017.”
Additionally, Davido not only collaborated with Zlatan on a track but also covered the expenses for his studio session when he was unable to afford it himself.
Zlatan recalled, “Davido saw the song, danced to it, and called me to his house. He made a song for me and even provided funds for the music video, dedicating hours to the shoot. Since then, it’s been blessings upon blessings.”
Reflecting on a challenging period when he won a car but had to sell it due to financial constraints, Zlatan credited Olamide and Davido for playing instrumental roles in turning his fortunes around.
This isn’t the first time Zlatan has praised Olamide and recognized his significant contributions to his career, as he has previously highlighted Olamide’s support for other aspiring artists in the industry.
