Young Jonn reveals his most embarrassing moment.

Nigerian record producer and singer Young Jonn opened up about a humiliating experience he faced during the video shoot for Olamide’s hit song “Awon Goons Mi” in 2014.

In an interview with MTV Base on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, the “Xtra Cool” crooner revealed how he was publicly embarrassed by music video director Unlimited LA.

Young Jonn recounted, “Some years ago, we were on the set of ‘Awon Goons Mi,’ which was produced by Pheelz and I. Unlimited LA was shooting the video. I was new to the YBNL record label at that time so he probably didn’t know me. Everybody was going to the front of the camera one by one to pose, but when it got to my turn, Unlimited LA shouted at me to leave the place. I almost died. It was as if I should enter the ground. But that is in the past now.”

Despite the awkward encounter, Young Jonn now laughs it off, acknowledging that it’s all water under the bridge. The incident occurred during his early days at YBNL, where he was gaining recognition for his production skills alongside Pheelz.

Since then, Young Jonn has carved out a successful career as a solo artist and continues to produce hits within the Nigerian music industry.
