Nigerian music industry blessed to have ‘musical genius’ Kizz Daniel – Iyanya
Nigerian artist Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, widely known as Iyanya, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for blessing the Nigerian music industry with the talent of his colleague, Kizz Daniel.
In 2022, Iyanya collaborated with Kizz Daniel and Davido on the hit song ‘Like,’ which garnered widespread acclaim.
Kizz Daniel has consistently delivered hits since his breakout with the chart-topping track ‘Woju‘ in 2016. Over the years, he has released five studio albums and numerous hit singles, solidifying his status as one of Nigeria’s most prominent artists.
In a tribute on his X handle, Iyanya described Kizz Daniel, also known as the ‘Buga’ crooner, as a “musical genius,” acknowledging his immense contribution to the industry.
Dear God, Thank you for giving us @KizzDaniel in our Industry.

Iyanya has asserted that he endorsed his estranged Ghanaian girlfriend, actress Yvonne Nelson’s controversial memoir, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,’ without prior knowledge of his inclusion in the book.
In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, Iyanya admitted to endorsing the book without being aware of its contents. Despite his previous promise to address Nelson’s allegations when the book was released, he stated that he is not yet prepared to respond to the accusations of infidelity.
Iyanya emphasized that he and Nelson maintain a positive relationship and communicate regularly, indicating that despite any past issues, they remain on good terms.
He said, “I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I am in the book. But I have not read it till now.
“I know I promise to address the allegations she made in her book, but I’m not ready to respond. I’m not going to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness.”
