YNW Melly‘s ‘Murder on My Mind’ has hit number one on iTune chart amidst the charges of murder leveled on the upcoming rapper.
The 2017 hit single, according to Chart Data has hit No. 1 on US Apple Music chart and is steadily climbing the Spotify Charts as it is currently at No. 19.
The 19-year-old rapper was charged with two counts of first-degree murder on Wednesday February 13.
He along with YNW Bortlen has been arrested under the accusation of killing two of his closest friends, YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy, in fatal shootings last year.
According to the police believe, Melly and Bortlen had staged the murder to make it look like a drive-by shooting.
Melly’s arrest has brought both fans and the police to a point of trying to demystify his break out song ‘Murder on My Mind’ to see if it has something to do with the murder of his friends.
However, the murder happened in 2018 while the song was released in 2017.
Melly has however suggested that he is innocent through a video he made on Instagram before his arrest.
