Nigerian artist Yemi Alade shared a playful moment with her fans on her Instagram page, unveiling her new deep vocals during a bout of sore throat.

In a video posted on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, the “Johnny” hitmaker embraced the humorous side of her situation, joking that her current voice tone could qualify her for a role as a football tournament commentator.

Amidst light-hearted banter about officiating a football tournament with her newfound deep vocals, Yemi Alade, who recently performed at the opening ceremony of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast, playfully suggested the Confederation of African Football (CAF) should consider her for a commentary gig.

In the video, she expressed amusement at the unexpected change in her voice and showed her willingness to showcase this talent in a different capacity, away from her usual singing role.

The post resonated with fans, showcasing Yemi Alade’s ability to connect with her audience even in lighthearted moments.
