Nigerian Afropop singer, and songwriter Yemi Eberechi Alade, popularly known as Yemi Alade, has revealed how she almost missed being on American superstar, Beyonce’s Album.

In an interview with media personality Wunmi Bello, Yemi Alade discussed the circumstances that nearly prevented her from working with Beyonce on her Disney project.
The Jonny hitmaker took the presenter through childhood memories as she explained what it was like to grow up in an Ibo-Yoruba home as the daughter of a police inspector during a one-on-one session known as The Wunmi Bello Show.

The singer had also discussed how she came to record Johnny, as well as the impact. Addressing her Beyonce appearance on My Power from the Disney album, The Lion King: The Gift, Yemi Alade revealed that she woke up the next day to discover she’d lost her voice the day before recording her verse.
According to the singer, she eventually started to regain her voice on the second day and could however only speak and not do any singing, but she’d been able to make things work still and successfully locked in her verse.
