Nigerian singer and songwriter Yemi Alade has been caught in a crossfire with Wizkid’s personal aide, Godson, for defending Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo.
All this started when the singer had taken to her Twitter page to praise Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo’s album, Mother Nature which won over Wizkid’s Made In Lagos album.
The ‘Johnny’ coroner did this to defend those criticizing the Beninese singer for winning over Starboy.
Many had opined that the singer’s album didn’t deserve a win as her album had nothing meaningful to offer.
However, Yemi shut them up as she retweeted a tweet that had earlier praised the singer.
“Angelique Kidjo dropped an Album which the headline song talked about the dangers of climate change induced disasters (that the west is worried about) and how it will impact Africa more but you are wondering why she won a Grammy for THAT body of work? Stop playing. Please take your time to listen to the album. Listen to “Africa, One of a Kind” and “Mother Nature”. Drip your pangolo expectations before you listen to them so you can enjoy good music”.
Yemi Alade’s retweeting of the tweet had pained Wizkid’s aide, Godson and he took to his Instagram page to throw shade at the singer after Big Wiz sold out his Paris show.

Recall, Paris fans took to Twitter France to lament after Wizkid’s pre-sale tickets sold out in a minute. The show is scheduled for 22nd November at the Accor Arena in Paris for Wizkid’s Made in Lagos tour in France.
Wizkid FC took to Twitter to celebrate the achievement and throw shades at Davido’s fans. The dragging became hotter after Wizkid confirmed he sold out the show in less than a minute by reposting a flyer on his IG story.
The confirmation must have motivated Wizkid’s aide, Godson, as he hopped on Instagram to drag Yemi Alade.
According to him, He stated that Yemi Alade will never be able to sell any venue out in 1 minute, He added that till the singer dies, she wouldn’t make such an achievement.
He also stated that the “Sweety” hitmaker and Angelique Kidjo can continue with their ‘inspiring and soulful music’ but they will never sell out an arena as Big Wiz did.
“Yemi Alade with ur french n francophone sing alike meaningful and soulful music will never be able to sell any venue out in 1min till u die yes till u die”.

In response to everything, Yemi Alade posted about being kind to the wrong people. The post focused on how someone’s behaviour reveals a lot about them, as well as how one’s behaviour toward them says a lot.
She shared the post with the caption; “I’m choosing Vawulence Abeg”.
