It was a battle of words between Ycee and a fan over the credits of his 2018 EP, “Late Night Vibrations”.
A Twitter user had made a list of Nigerian best rappers in their current form and listed the number of their projects they have done except Ycee and Blaqbonez.
Ycee responding to the list asked if he and Blaqbonez hadn’t done any project and a fan by the name, Dimeji told him he had only done one project in three years.
Ycee asked Dimeji to place a bet with him about the number of projects he has done in the three years and if he is wrong, he would have to pay Ycee.
After another fan had listed the number of projects Ycee has done in three years correctly, the Dimeji argued that Ycee can’t take the glory for “Late Night Vibrations” as it was a joint collaboration between him and Bella Alubo.
Ycee slammed him saying his tweet sounded stupid and Dimeji argued back saying Ycee didn’t have to result to insult.
Ycee apologized but still insisted that the fan’s tweet was stupid. Dimeji refused to back down from his opinion saying that Ycee claiming to have three projects in three years was a fallacy and that a joint project can’t be claimed by one party alone.
Ycee told Dimeji that he was stubborn but that he can’t say he has 2.5 projects just because “LNV EP” was a joint collaboration.
LNV EP is a six-track project written and recorded by YCee and Bella Alubo.
