Ycee took to Twitter to respond to a music critic who was critical of Tems and her voice.
David Onyemalzu, a music critic, wrote on Twitter that there are lots of female performers who can sing better than Tems.
He claims he has yet to discover what makes her voice so special and why there is such a buzz about her vocals.
Tems‘ voice, he claims, isn’t as thrilling as that of other female artists.
He named Chidinma, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, and Omawumi are superior vocalists and stated that their vocals give him goosebumps.

He went on to say that Tems‘ voice is nothing more than PR and Twitter buzz. He defended himself by writing that he is a musicologist who knows what he’s talking about.
In response, Nigerian Artist, Ycee simply told him to lie down on the ice block since he desired something that would send shivers down his spine.
