Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter Oludemilade Martin Alejo, known professionally as Ycee, has offered advice to people seeking help with mental health issues.
He said those suffering from mental health should speak up and seek help.
He spoke against the background of a recent increase of suicides among young entertainers both locally and internationally.
Recall, A prominent Dubai-based socialite, Sodiq Oluwadamilola popular known as Dammie Richie reportedly committed suicide after battling depression at the weekend.

Just like Hushpuppi, Dammie Richie was known for his lavish display of his assets and wealth on social media.
He reportedly died after battling depression for about two years.
Despite the fact that he received medical assistance by enrolling in a rehabilitation centre, he lost the battle.
Empathising with sufferers of mental health issues, Ycee emphasised the importance of setting aside shame and speaking up.
The musician also urged patients to seek professional help, which he said was more effective than the short-term respite they obtain from smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol.
