World Cup: Christian Pulisic provides injury update after being taken to hospital.
After being brought to the hospital, Christian Pulisic provided an injury update. He is certain he will be ready for the USA’s World Cup match against the Netherlands in the round of 16.
In their final group match against Iran, the Chelsea star scores his team’s winning goal by latching onto Segino Dest’s cross late in the first half.
Pulisic crashed into Iran shot-stopper Alireza in the process however and the player was left needing treatment from the US medical staff.
He was able to come back onto the field to finish the first half, but after halftime, he was substituted.
The 24-year-old attacker was reportedly transported to the hospital for scans on an abdomen injury.
Despite concerns about missing Saturday’s vital match against the Netherlands, Pulisic has declared he will play.

‘So f*****g proud of my guys, I’ll be ready Saturday don’t worry,’ Pulisic wrote alongside a picture of him celebrating the victory from his hospital bed.
Pulisic’s goal was enough to seal USA’s place in the next stages of the World Cup, qualifying as group runners-up behind England.
Teammates Timothy Weah and Weston McKennie paid huge tribute to the Chelsea forward for putting his body on the line to help his country go through.
‘We worked so hard as a group to be in this position,’ Lille forward Weah said. ‘Thanks to Christian. We love him and we thank him. It’s a great feeling.’
Juventus midfielder McKennie added: ‘Obviously we’re very thankful (Pulisic) threw his body there.
‘But we have 25 guys other than Christian who would do the same thing.
‘Everybody is ready to give everything. It’s unfortunate he had to come out but the fact he’s throwing his body on the line tells you how close this team is.’
