A young lady who received a $50,000 scholarship from Canadian rapper and singer, Drake in 2018, is about to obtain her master’s degree.
Drake visited the University of Miami in 2018 and donated a $50,000 scholarship to an undergraduate student, Destiny Paris James, who later featured in his “God’s Plan” music video.
The rapper presented the South Carolina lady the cheque of $50,000 in the music video to help complete her education.
Destiny who is now 23-years-old graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health in 2019 from the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill. She then proceeded for her Master’s at the same University, where she will be obtaining her Master’s degree in few days.

The excited lady took to Instagram to share the good news and a Drake who’s proud of her achievements reacted.
“Mama, I mastered it. Daddy, I did it,” Destiny, whose father died of cancer just as she completed her freshman year in Miami, wrote on Instagram. “4 days until I am officially UNC Alum.” She captioned her post.
In reaction, Drake wrote, “LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DES,” to which Destiny responded, “@champagnepapi [two blue heart emojis] THANK YOUUUU!!
