Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos” album hit new achievements on the Billboard charts.
The Nigerian-nominated Grammy Award-winning artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, continues his meteoric rise to the top of African music royalty as his “Made in Lagos” album sets a new record on the Billboard charts.
The highly regarded Nigerian musician has set a new Billboard Charts record, making him the first and only African artist to do so.
The Starboy Entertainment headline act, Big Wiz’s ‘Made In Lagos’ album which was released on Friday, October 30, 2020o has spent a total of 100 weeks on the Billboard World Albums Chart.

Starboy is the first African musician to achieve such peaks in history thanks to this accomplishment. As of Monday, October 10, 2022, the album, which previously peaked at number one on the chart, is in position 11.
Another major accomplishment for Big Wiz, as is “Made in Lagos” becomes the first African album to spend 100 weeks on Billboard.

In addition, On the Billboard World Albums chart, Asake’s ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ holds the 5th position after spending a total of 5 weeks peaking at number 2. Burna Boy’s ‘Love, Damini’ sits at number 4 after peaking at number 2 and also spending 14 weeks.
