The Grammy-winning star also holds a unique record as the only Nigerian artist with a diamond-certified song in the U.S. due to his feature on Drake’s ‘One Dance.’ His other certifications include a 4x platinum plaque for ‘Essence‘ featuring Tems, as well as certifications for ‘Come Closer‘ with Drake, ‘Soco,’ ‘Mood‘ featuring BNXN, ‘Call Me Everyday‘ with Chris Brown, and ‘Brown Skin Girl‘ with Beyoncé and Saint Jhn.
Wizkid also joins the ranks of just four Nigerian artists with RIAA-certified albums with his Grammy-nominated fourth album, ‘Made In Lagos,’ further cementing his impact on the global music scene.
Notably, “Piece of My Heart” has set a new record for the highest weekly streams on YouTube Nigeria, accumulating 1.20 million streams and surpassing the previous record of 1.18 million streams held by Fireboy DML’s “Peru” remix featuring Ed Sheeran.
This achievement follows the single’s record-breaking performance on Spotify Nigeria, where it garnered the largest opening day streams, eclipsing the previous record he held with Asake’s “MMS.”
