As expected, Wizkid‘s Essence Remix claims Billboard R&B, Hip-hop top chart.
Essence remix, Wizkid’s global-accepted tune, has topped the Billboard chart for R&B/Hip-Hop song airplay for the second time.
As a matter of fact, it is the first African song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard R&B chart, demonstrating Wizkid’s crossover appeal.
Billboard Charts made the announcement via their Twitter page stating;
“@wizkidayo’s “Essence,” featuring @justinbieber & @temsbaby, hits No. 1 on this week’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.”
