• Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ Tops Rolling Stone’s List Of Best Songs Of Summer This Century Ahead Of ‘Despacito’, Others.

Rolling Stone has ranked Wizkid’s global anthem “Essence” over other well-known summertime hits like “Despacito” as the best song of the summer this century.

The global smash record, featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, came off Wizkid’s 2021 ground-breaking, Grammy-nominated album ‘Made In Lagos (Deluxe)’.

‘Essence‘ came in first place on a new list of the “Best Songs of the Summer of this Century,” compiled by Rolling Stone, placing it ahead of other global anthems.

Ten of this century’s top-charting Summer songs were included on the list; other musicians whose songs appeared on it included BTS, Drake, and Lil Nas X, among others.
