The Nigerian Award-winning artist Wizkid has won the Best African Artiste of the Year at the biggest award ceremony in Ghana which is called the Ghana Music Awards.
On the 8th of May 2022, Big Wiz was named the Best African Artiste Of The Year at the 23rd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards
Big Wiz who was nominated alongside Fireboy DML, Ckay, Tems, Focalistic and Joeboy was selected as the winner of the award following his great contribution to African music.

The singer took to his social media page on the 7th of May 2022 to make the announcement about an upcoming project with Pepsi.
Big Wiz made this announcement in an over 40 seconds video with the theme of the announcement being ‘Confam.’
This certainly implies that Wizkid will reveal additional information about the collaboration in May 2022.
