The Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Wizkid has broken records this week, as he has reached the top spot on seven different Billboard charts.
The talented Afrobeat sensational superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid is making history by topping seven different Billboard charts this week.

Surprisingly, Wizkid’s global mega song, Essence, has taken the top seven spots on the various Billboard charts this week.
Recall, mp3bullet.ng reported that Billboard Magazine recently confirmed that Wizkid’s Made in Lagos album has been submitted for a category in the upcoming 2022 Grammy Awards.

With the submission of the “Made In Lagos” album for the 2022 Grammys, Big Wiz will be competing with other artists that fall under that category to earn a nomination in the best global music album category.
Since the project was launched in October 2020, it has been on a chart-topping run and has broken multiple records.
The most notable of which is the longest African album on the Billboard World Albums rankings, with Made in Lagos spending a total of fifty weeks on the chart.
Starboy’s Essence has now topped seven different Billboard charts, including World Digital Song Sales, Adult R&B Airplay, R&B Digital Song Sales, and Hot R&B Songs.
