Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ Gets U.S Gold Certification After 500,000 Sold Units

“Made In Lagos” by Wizkid earns him yet another US certification.
The ‘Made in Lagos‘ album by Wizkid has now sold 500 thousand units in the United States earning him another certification.
The Afrobeats king launched the album (his fourth studio album) on October 30th, 2020, and it is still generating waves two years later.
Since its debut, the album has had over 140 million streams on Audiomack, over 40 million streams on Boomplay, over 20 million streams on Pandora, 322 million streams on Apple Music, 229 million streams on Spotify, 227 million streams on YouTube, and over 20 million streams on Pandora, totalling over 1 billion streams on digital service providers (DSPs)
The album was certified Silver in the U.K, in the early months of 2022, after selling over 60,000 units and is now certified Gold in the U.S for reaching 500,000 units of sales.
It wasn’t too long before Wizkid’s fans celebrated the project being the first African album to sell 425,000 copies in the United States.
Aside from that, all of the songs have sold over 100,000 copies, with Essence featuring Tems becoming double platinum in the same country.

The album has broken a plethora of records, including the first African album to make it to the Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 and also the record holder for longest charting African album on the Billboard Hot 100, with a record 72 weeks on the charts.
Recently, the singer recorded another feat with his Made In Lagos Deluxe album version with a milestone of 500M streams on Apple Music.
Recall Mp3bullet revealed that Wizkid has made modifications to his upcoming album, revealing that the title would be changed.
On his Instagram story, the Essence singer revealed that the title of his upcoming album, “More Love, Less Ego,” will be changed.
