Mixed reactions greet Wizkid’s ‘last time I perform in Lagos’ statement
Ayodeji Balogun, also known as Wizkid, has his Lagos fans in shock with his latest announcement about his forthcoming beach concert in the coastline city.
The Afrobeats superstar has provided yet another update on his plans to perform in Lagos. He previously teased the news that he will be headlining a concert at the 80,000-capacity London Stadium.
Wizkid is scheduled to close down Lagos with his final show, which will take place on the beach on December 30th, 2022; a revelation that has sent his fans into a frenzy.
Wizkid boasted when announcing the concert date that it would be his final appearance in Lagos and that there should be a rage.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Wizkid posted a poster of his show “Vibes on the Beach with Big Wiz,” which is slated to hold in Lagos on the 30th of December 2022.
According to Big Wiz, that event will be the last time he will ever perform in Lagos. He wrote:
Last time i ever perform in Lagos. Let’s rage!!!
The announcement has been met with mixed reactions as many wondered what Wizkid meant by his “last time to perform in Lagos” statement. Many of them feared that the beach show might be his last show in Lagos as he might not perform again in the state after that.
