“I’m lost without you” – Wizkid says in heartfelt tribute to mum
Nigerian superstar singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, experienced a moment of deep emotion at the burial ceremony of his mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun.
The award-winning singer, along with his sisters and family, held a funeral service for his mother on October 12. The ceremony was attended by a considerable number of friends and colleagues.
During a heartfelt speech at the service, Wizkid, visibly emotional and sobbing deeply, expressed that he felt lost without his mother and conveyed his profound love for her. The loss of a loved one is a deeply personal and emotional experience, and it’s clear that Wizkid was profoundly affected by his mother’s passing.
“I’m lost without you, Mom. I love you so much. I love you”, he said.
The 33-year-old shared that the passing of his mother has left a profound sense of grief and pain in his heart, an emotion he had never felt before.
During a video from the memorial service, he was seen offering heartfelt prayers, asking God for strength for himself and his family to cope with the loss.
The music superstar also expressed his gratitude to those who came to show their support during this challenging time.
He thanked his family for standing together and supporting one another in the face of their collective loss.

“The pain is deep, I’ve never felt this pain in my life”, said Wizkid who was with his partner, Jada Pollock and their son, Zion.
