Renowned Nigerian artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, has made a surprising revelation about his future endeavors. Despite recently announcing a hiatus from music, he has disclosed his intention to become an actor.
The artist expressed his motivation for this career shift, citing a desire to engage in on-screen activities such as kissing women and handling firearms in movies. Wizkid shared this revelation through his Instagram story, adding an intriguing new chapter to his multifaceted artistic journey.
He wrote in Pidgin, “Shebi I tell una I one dey act film!…I just want dey kiss and shoot a gun for a movie. Daz all!!”
His revelation came barely 24 hours after he was spotted with prolific Nollywood filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan.
In an additional update, Wizkid has hinted at the possibility of extending his break from music. Initially proposing a hiatus of three to four years, the ‘Essence’ crooner is now contemplating stretching this period to six years. This revelation adds an element of intrigue to his future musical plans.
On his Instagram story, Wizkid wrote, “Loving every bit of this holiday. Might extend to six years.”
