Wizkid Speaks On Releasing Gospel Album

Wizkid talks what might occur if he were to release a Christian album.
Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, has spoken out about the possibility of recording a Christian album.
In an interview, the Grammy-nominated 32-year-old singer, who recently released his fifth studio album, “More Love, Less Ego,” stated that if he decides to release a Christian album, every club will play it.
Speaking about his expertise in making music in the interview with UK media personality Tinea Taylor of Kiss Hype Chart, he said:
First of all, let me put this out here. Every Wizkid album is always going to be vibes. If I make a Christian album today, you’re going to play that shit in the club.

In other news, Wizkid track ‘Essence’ featuring Tems has sold over 3 million units in the United States to be certified triple platinum.
This feat is coming at about the same time when the singer released his highly anticipated fifth album titled ‘More Love, Less Ego’.
Essence’ is a track from ‘Made in Lagos’ and since its release, the song has continued to break numerous records in global music.
On October 14, 2021, the song was certified platinum, while on March 2, 2022, it sold over 2 million units in the US to become double platinum.
In July 2021, the project became the first Nigerian song to crack the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the third from Africa.
Four weeks after, ‘Essence’ recorded another leap, climbing by 23 spots on the Hot 100 to hit 59th place.
Wizkid also released a remix to the global hit, featuring Justin Bieber, the Canadian pop star.
The ‘Fever’ crooner recently said he wants to be remembered like Bob Marley, the late Jamaican music icon.
