Wizkid responds to a fan who apologizes on behalf of Davido amid their beef
Nigerian award-winning artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has been vocal online following a fan’s apology on behalf of his rival, Davido.
The ongoing feud between the two Afrobeat stars reignited on October 1 when Wizkid publicly criticized Davido, labelling him a talentless and subpar singer. He even mocked Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, affectionately referred to as “the dancing governor.”
This outburst occurred shortly after Davido teased his first single of the year by sharing a snippet on social media, which seems to have triggered Wizkid’s anger.
According to reports, Wizkid may have been upset over an endorsement deal with the popular clothing brand PUMA, which ultimately went to Davido.
As the situation unfolded, many social media users began weighing in on the rivalry, with some choosing sides and others offering insights into the ongoing tension between the two stars.
In a recent development, a user on X (formerly Twitter) named @Freyy_is called out Wizkid, pleading for his forgiveness on behalf of Davido. The user wrote, “Wizkid, we are sorry on their behalf.”
Wizkid, not backing down, responded by expressing his continued frustration with Davido, stating, “FVck em all.”
