Wizkid promised and delivered a befitting music video to his track IDK featuring Zlatan.
Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has released the official music video to his hit track, IDK featuring Zlatan Ibile.
The song is off his S2 EP released in December. Consisting of four songs, the EP enclaves his unbridled display of versatility, as each groove siphons a uniqueness to different genres, which include Amapiano, Afrobeat and Nigerian pop.
The collaboration between the two artists in “IDK” marked a significant surprise, being their first joint effort to create a song. Arguably, it stands out as the most esteemed track in the body of work, boasting the highest replay value.
Helmed with skillful direction by DK, the video transcends mere visual accompaniment to the song, evolving into an intricate exploration of life’s unpredictable nature and the capacity for resilience. This theme is eloquently encapsulated in the lyrics, “Tough times don’t last but tough people do, we go stand tall.”
The video seamlessly harmonizes with the contagious rhythm of the song, with breathtaking cinematography underscoring the artist’s earlier acknowledgment of divine collaboration. A touching moment within the music video captures a close-up shot, revealing a tattoo on Wizkid’s neck bearing the word ‘PRAY.’
