Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid is off to an excellent start with records in 2022 as he officially equals a record on the Billboard charts with his classic album “Made in Lagos.”

Aside from being the very best Nigerian artist on the Billboard World Album charts, Wizkid has taken it up a notch by joining the African legends to possess the longest-charting album on the Billboard charts with the album “Made In Lagos.”

Starboy now ties the African legend, Cesaria Evora, to possess the longest-charting album on the Billboard World Album Charts with 66 weeks.

The Cape Verdean singer, Cesaria Evora, together with her Grammy award-winning album, Cesária.

The album has spent a complete of 66 weeks on the charts peaking at the amount 2 positions, which made her the sole African to spend that long on the charts.

Big Wiz has equalled that record together with his ‘Made in Lagos’ album that has also spent a complete of 66 weeks on the Billboard charts and it still seems that it’d still get on the charts.

This means that Wizkid is one week away from breaking the record and becoming the highest-charting African on the Billboard World album charts.
