Recall, Wizkid revealed why he signed with RCA Records in 2017, opting out of deals with other international labels that pursued him.
In a throwback interview shared on Instagram by UK-based music promoter Adesope, Wizkid explained his decision to sign with RCA.
He mentioned that before finalizing the deal, he was pursued for four years by various international labels. Ultimately, he chose RCA because they understood his vision.
“The international labels chased me for four years to get me signed,” said Wizkid, “until I agreed to RCA because they understood my vision.”
