Wizkid extends his record on the Billboard Charts.
Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” album continues to captivate fans even years after its initial release, as it makes a remarkable return to the Billboard Charts. This Afrobeat masterpiece has re-entered the Billboard World Albums chart, securing the 15th position.
Wizkid’s achievement extends his record as the African artist with the longest-charting album on this chart.
In February 2022, “Made In Lagos” had already tied the record for the longest-charting African album on the Billboard World Albums chart.
This record was previously held by the Cape Verdean singer Cesaria Evora and her Grammy award-winning album, which spent a total of 66 weeks on the charts and reached the number 2 position.
This feat made her the sole African artist to maintain such a lengthy presence on the charts. Now, Wizkid has surpassed this milestone, with “Made In Lagos” spending over 130 weeks on the chart after its latest re-entry.
This accomplishment is a testament to the enduring appeal and global recognition of Wizkid’s music and the impact of “Made In Lagos.” Fans continue to show their unwavering support for this remarkable project.
