The crowd erupted in excitement as Wizkid continued his stellar performance, marking his official return to Lagos after years of being based abroad.
The event, which featured performances by Afrobeats heavyweights Burna Boy and Davido, marked a rare moment in Nigerian music history. Despite their well-documented tensions, the trio shared the stage at the **Oando Plc End-of-the-Year party**, surprising many fans.
The reunion of the “Big Three” comes amid ongoing speculations about their strained relationships. Notably, Wizkid and Davido’s online feud in April 2024 was one of the most heated exchanges in Afrobeats history, with reports suggesting that the two are yet to reconcile.
Regardless, Wizkid’s prayers and announcement during the Greater Lagos Countdown served as a reminder of his enduring connection with his roots and his fans, solidifying his status as one of Nigeria’s most beloved artists.
