Nigerian Superstar, Wizkid has caused a huge grievance for his fans in Canada as he announced the cancellation of his tour which was supposed to be held in the North-American country
The singer who had a great 2021 was supposed to tour Canada this January but would be unable to do so due to public health restrictions set up in the country as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Grammy winner made a post on his verified Twitter account stating that he would be unable to perform as a result of restrictions but promises to return as soon as possible.
He shared this via his Twitter page on Wednesday, the 19th of January 2022.
The statement reads;
“Due to existing and developing Public health restriction measures being introduced by the Canadian Government, I will no longer be able to perform my Canadian shows in January. I’m looking forward to returning as soon as possible.”

Wizkid embarked on the Made in Lagos world tour last year, performing in a number of venues across the United States and even held a 3-day concert at the famous O2 Arena in London.
The tour was well-publicized with top celebrities like Rihanna, Kevin Hart, Alicia Keys, ASAP Rocky, and Swizz Beatz attending the tour venues.
The Canada Leg of the tour was supposed to hold this January with the singer billed to perform at venues in Montreal and Ontario.
Due to government rules concerning Covid-19 in Canada, Wizkid has now announced that his Made in Lagos tour stops in the country have been postponed indefinitely.
He revealed that he will try his best to give his fans in Canada a show as soon as possible again.
