Nigerian Superstar, Wizkid was one of the biggest winners at AFRIMA 2021, taking home three awards, including the Best African Artist crown.
At the recently held AFRIMA 2021, Wizkid won three awards, including Best African Artist of the Year and Best Song of the Year. The event took place on Sunday, November 21st, 2021.
While Big Wiz took home three awards on the night, but the night’s greatest winner was Malian artist Iba One, who took home four, including Album of the Year, African Male Artiste in Inspirational Music, Best Song Writer, and Best Male Artiste from Western Africa.
Other awards Big Wiz won include the Best Song of the Year for his global smash hit, Essence with Tems, and the Best African Collaboration award also with Tems.

Fireboy DML, a Nigerian artist, also took home two awards at the 2021 AFRIMA ceremony, including African Fans’ Favorite and Best Duo African Hip Hop, alongside Cheque.
The show was hosted by Eddie Kadi and Pearl Thusi and witnessed performances from Patoranking, Chike, Olakira, D’Banj among others.
