Wizkid and Ayra Starr ranked among ‘world’s top artistes of 2024’
Nigerian music icons Wizkid and Ayra Starr have earned a prestigious spot among the world’s top artists of 2024, according to Chart Data.
In a list released on New Year’s Eve, Wizkid ranked 11th, while Ayra Starr secured the 18th position. Both Nigerian stars are part of the global music landscape, with Ayra Starr’s meteoric rise marking her as a key force in the Afropop scene.
Also making waves on the list was Tyla, a South African singer, who claimed the 12th spot, highlighting the growing influence of African artists worldwide.
The top 10 spots were dominated by global superstars, including Jimin from South Korea, and American music legends like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé, and Kendrick Lamar. Other names in the top 10 include Charli XCX, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Nicki Minaj.
