“Jogodo” has officially rewritten the record books.

Wizkid and Asake’s explosive new collaboration has shattered Spotify Nigeria’s record for the biggest streaming week, pulling in over 5 million streams with two full days still left in the tracking period, a historic digital milestone for Nigerian music.

Released on January 16, the track immediately sparked massive buzz across the platform, reinforcing the duo’s heavyweight status in the Afrobeats scene.

Chart-tracking platform @chartdata on X confirmed the record-breaking feat, noting that the numbers are still climbing and could close the week even higher.

The achievement sees Jogodo leapfrog previous Afrobeats heavy-hitters, further underlining the genre’s unstoppable rise both locally and globally.

Beyond streaming numbers, the song has enjoyed rapid chart domination. As the lead single from Wizkid’s forthcoming Real Vol. 1 EP, Jogodo debuted at No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria and Spotify Nigeria, setting new single-day streaming records on Spotify Nigeria. It also landed on major global discovery platforms, including Shazam and Spotify’s Top Songs Debut Global chart, while topping regional rankings such as Audiomack Nigeria.

The chart success adds yet another chapter to Afrobeats’ growing international influence and Wizkid’s continued reign as a streaming force.

Asake and Wizkid’s “Jogodo” has already broken the all-time record for biggest streaming week for any song in Spotify Nigeria history (over 5 million).
