Wizkid and Davido: Is Our Collabo Finally Here?

Wizkid and Davido: Is Our Collabo Finally Here?Wizkid and Davido are undoubtedly one of Nigeria’s biggest acts at the moment.

With their huge fan base, these two have more or less divided the music industry into: Wizkid Fan Club and Davido Fan Club. It’s not like other good artistes don’t exist, these two are just dominating.

At such, what is reasonable to Nigerian music lovers is that these two get into the studio together and produce something our hearts will vibrate to. But it has been taking too long!

We expected a collabo to seal their peaceful settlement of their beef in 2018.

Recall the Wizkid and Davido beef that trailed our 2017 and 2018? It went so viral that there were reports that their guys went physical in ‘One Africa Music Festival’ in Dubai.

Wizkid and Davido: Is Our Collabo Finally Here?

Thank God it came to an end. Since then, we’ve been expecting a collabo from our ‘Come closer‘ singer and his ‘Fall‘ brother.

Maybe 2019 will be that year we’ve been waiting for. I know you’d be raising your eyebrows as to why I said so.

    Let MP3bullet break it down.

If you can recall, the resolve on the  feud between our two singers was that they would become mature.

In other words, they’ll strife to be the best without one beefing or rubbing it in the face of the other.

Since then, it’s not been a fight, but a beautiful competition.

Remember that Wizkid sold out the Royal Albert Hall in London. Then he went on to sell out the big shot 20,000-capacity London O2 Arena

Now…a quick fast forward to 2019(Yes, 2019). This year started with a huge feat for OBO. He sold out the same 20,000 capacity London O2 Arena.

He even defended Starboy when fans started making comparisons between them.

Now…Let’s go back to 2018. 2018 was big for both our two-time MAMA Award’s Best Male Artiste and our two times Grammy nominee.

Wizkid and Davido: Is Our Collabo Finally Here?

In 2018, the DMW boss was on more than 14 released songs, both collabos and singles, ranging from international to local.

He was on Ricky Rick and Gemini Major‘s ‘Murdah‘ , ‘Check On You’ ft Cassper Nyovest, ‘Way Too Fly’ by A Boogie and ‘Dun Rich’by Popcaan.

Mr. Adeleke did not spare the local industry as he featured in ‘Gucci Gang’ by D’Prince and Don Jazzy,  gave us ‘Mind‘ and ‘Aje‘ ft DMW, ‘Assuarnce’, ‘Flora my Flawa, ‘the list goes on.

When we thought he would take a break, he wished us a a happy new year with ‘Bum Bum‘.

Enough about OBO, let’s check out Wizkid. He was also in some features(Am I the only one that thinks these guys are similar?)

Wizkid is like that cool guy that scatters ground when no one expects. This guy is one of Africa’s best (Yes, AFRICA) right now.

The 8 Headies award winner thrilled our hearts with ‘Soco‘ ft Terri, Ceeza Milli and Spotless. You can’t just help but move to beat.

The controversial ‘Fever‘ was one fever(pun intended). Then we heard him again in Olamide‘s ‘Kana‘.

The comparison is endless. So you see  why a collaboration is just inevitable?

Let’s make this analysis. The two artistes are more or less in the same lane. Wizkid cannot claim superiority because Davido has also had major feats.

OBO on the other hand, has no excuse too.

So let’s just sit back, relax and anticipate our Starboy and OBO  inevitable collabo. We don’t really want to know who features who.

Before we go, you can check out DMW and Starboy and YBNL MIXTAPE.
