Last week, Nigerian Superstars Wizkid and Ckay topped the list of the most Shazamed songs in the USA.
Nigerian singers-songwriters and producers Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun who is better known as Wizkid and also known as Big Wiz or Starboy and Chukwuka Ekweani better know as Ckay tops the list of most Shazamed songs in the United States last week.
The Afrobeat star, CKay is at the top of the list, as his remix of ‘Love Nwantiti,’ which features Axel and DJ Yo, is presently the most shazamed song in the USA. The second on the list is Wizkid’s song featuring Nigerian vocalist, Tems titled ‘Essence’.

‘Love Nwantiti’ was originally released off Ckay’s EP, titled ‘Ckay The First’, dropped in 2019. The first remix features Joeboy and Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene.
Recall, Mp3bullet.ng reported that Billboard Chart’s announced CKay’s Love Nwantiti making it to the number 80 spot on this week’s Hot 100 Chart update.
The Italian rock band Mneskin, LilNas X & Jack Harlow, Puerto Rican singer Farruko, The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber, Walker Hayes, Drake & Ed Sheeran are among the top ten most shazam songs in the United States.
In Addition, Mp3bullet.ng also reported that Wizkid’s groundbreaking single, “Essence,” featuring Tems was certified Gold in the United States on September 2, 2021.
To be precise, this is the version that featured Tems, which peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100, as opposed to the version with Justin Bieber, which peaked at No. 13 on the same chart.
The Recording Industry Association of America [RIAA] awards a gold certification when a song or album sells the equivalent of 500,000 copies, which includes both streaming and physical sales.
