Wizkid set a streaming record on Pandora in the United States.
Nigerian afrobeat award-winning artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid has set a new record on the music streaming platform, Pandora.
On the platform, which is solely available in the United States, he has accumulated over 300 million cumulative streams.
Starboy Wizkid is now the first African musician to receive the most Pandora listens thanks to his most recent accomplishment.
The “Ojuelegba” hitmaker broke a comparable milestone on the same streaming platform in June 2022, becoming the most streamed African artist after accumulating 200 million streams.
Wizkid becomes the first African Artiste to cross 300 million total streams on Pandora.
Pandora is only available in USA.

Recall, Wizkid, and Tems have been recognized as the first African winners of the American podcast iHeartRadio Titanium Award.
The Titanium Award is given to musicians whose songs have been streamed 1 billion spins on iHeartRadio stations in the United States.
Wizkid and Tems were honoured after their popular song ‘Essence’ earned 1 billion spins on iHeartRadio stations.
Since its premiere in 2021, the song “Essence” has helped the artists win awards. It was the best collaboration winner of the 2022 BET award. ‘Essence‘ by Wizkid won five honours at the 15th Headies Awards.
The announcement was made by Tems‘ manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi, via a video clip of the iHeartRadio Titanium award posted to his Instagram story.
