There were many questions about Saliba’s future at the Emirates before to the 2022–23 season. During his first three seasons under contract with the Gunners, the centre-back spent time on loan in Ligue 1 with AS Saint-Etienne, OGC Nice, and Olympique Marseille.
Each time, he made an impression, and Arsenal decided to keep him in the lineup for the current campaign. Saliba has reacted to their choice in the best way possible, putting up an impressive performance after the incredible showing.
This season, the Frenchman has made 21 appearances in all competitions, contributing twice to goals and once to assists. In 17 games, he has successfully acclimated to the Premier League, averaging 1.4 tackles, 3.2 clearances, and 3.7 duels per game.
