Simi, a musician from Nigeria, recently posted a video to social media that showed her having fun with her daughter Adejare, who is two years old. The kid in the video startled Simi when she yelled out her mother’s entire name, “Simisola.”
She promptly caught her daughter’s attention and corrected her daughter for calling her by her first name by asking, “Who is your mate?”
Adejare, the smart kid, quickly went back where she had come from and called her mother “mummy” while Simi applauded and laughed beside her.
Adejare’s accent and intellect at such a young age have been praised by many social media users who saw the video, which was shared on TikTok by a user going by the handle “itz meekun.”
Others applauded Simi for promptly correcting her daughter’s mistake, emphasizing the significance of teaching kids the proper way to treat those in positions of power or deference.
