Nigerian singer, Mega C has hinted at the impact of the forthcoming 2023 general elections on the 16th Headies Award edition.
The just concluded 15th Headies edition was held in Atlanta, United States of America on Sunday, September 4th, 2022.
The award which has been on for 15 years highlights the best in the Nigerian music business, coupled with some of across the borders.
According to Mega C, the Headies Awards is an indigenous ceremony that ought to be hosted on the Nigerian shores, however, this has been hindered due to security concerns in the state.

He disagrees with the notion that the award was hosted in the USA due to the fact that artistes are on tours.
In light of this, the singer urges Nigerians to make the right choice in the forthcoming 2023 General Elections, implying that it would aid the needed change the country needs.
Sharing his opinion on his Twitter page, the tweet reads: “I hope we get it right come 2023 general election so we won’t have to host great awards like HEADIES abroad again. This definitely not about artists being on tours.
Tbh this award is for Nigerian music & should be hosted here not in foreign land. Only if Naija was safe enough.”
