Wendy Shay Pulls Massive Crowd With Third Edition Of Shay Concert

With the third Shay concert, Wendy Shay gathers a big crowd.
Wendy Shay, the female musician in Ghana with the most streams in 2022, has achieved yet another triumph with the 2023 Shay edition of the “Shay Concert.”
On Saturday, January 7, 2023, thousands of music lovers and supporters of Shay arrived for a blissful night at the West Hills Mall forecourt for the third instalment of the concert, which was powered by Ruff Town Records and sponsored by Ebony Condoms.
Through her charity and Rufftown Records, Shay planned a free health test and a vaccination session at the same location before the event, which got underway at about 7 o’clock. When the show finally started, the award-winning singer-songwriter wowed the audience with an hour of nonstop, energising performance while dishing out timeless tunes from her catalogue.

She periodically took a break to speak with her fans and proclaim her status as the best female musician in Ghana right now, a title she has undoubtedly earned. In addition to Wendy Shay, who was the main performer that evening, she was backed by some of Ghana’s best musicians as well as her colleagues’ entertainers.
Numerous artists, including Fameye, Sister Afia, Eno Barony, Amerado, Ras Kuuku, Kwame Yogot, Larruso, Bosom Pyung, Kwaku Darlington, Darkovibes, Malcolm Nuna, and others, attended the event in style and gave the fans an unforgettable experience. Every square inch of the forecourt was taken with music lovers, creating memories.
The massive crowd stretched as far as the streets, causing a massive traffic jam on the Accra – Kasoa highway. One would estimate over 20,000 people were in attendance. The first edition of the ‘Shay Concert’ took place in 2018, with a second edition in 2019.
