• Davido reveals how his relationship with Skepta started.

Nigerian singer Davido has opened up on how his friendship with British rapper, Skepta started.

The singer in an interview with +44 podcast revealed that he and Skepta only started hanging out and talking three years ago.

According to the “Unavailable” crooner, he and the rapper didn’t get much opportunity to hang out. Davido revealed that a chance encounter in Lagos led to the start of their friendship.

He said he discovered that they share a lot in common within the forty minutes he spent talking to the British Rapper.

Davido revealed that Skepta visits him anytime he is in London and one day he brought up the idea of him being on his album

“Funny enough, we didn’t start speaking till like three years ago. We’ve never had the opportunity to see, to even now see whether we will be cool or not. We met in Lagos one funny time, we are having a conversation, and the conversation ended up being for like forty minutes, we just spoke about a lot. We just see that we had a lot of things in common funny enough and he will just pull up when am in London randomly, pull up in his Roll Royce and from there I was like, ‘Yo, this my next album we have to get one. So I sent him the record and he sent it back the next day”.
