The talented Afrobeat superstar Wizkid commented on the success of his blockbuster single ‘Essence‘ before performing it at his Lagos headlining concert.
Nigerian renowned singer, songwriter, and performer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, reflected on his success and that of his smash hit ‘Essence’ at his 2021 Lagos headline concert.
The Grammy-nominated afrobeats star, thrilled his fans with an energetic performance at the concert hosted by Livespot festival, before performing his smash tune “Essence,”.
He took a pause to reflect on the fact that the song broke into Billboard’s top 10, a milestone worth celebrating over and over again.

Aside from the song’s popularity, Starboy reflected on the fact that such a tremendous achievement was accomplished by “a tiny child from Ojuelegba” – Making a reference to himself.
The event, which took place at the Livespot Entertainment Center, Ikate, Lekki, saw performances from stars like Olamide, CKay, Rema, Bad Boy Timz, Simi, Bella Shmurda, and a host of others.
