Nigerian music’s newest Golden Boy, Asake has come a long since his feature with Olamide on “Omo Ope” earlier this year.
A video currently going viral on social media shows the moment Asake heard Olamide’s verse on the song.
In the video, he could be seen sitting inside a car while his friend, Yhemo Lee plays the song.
Immediately, Baddo’s verse came on, Asake became so emotional to the point of almost crying.

Recall that Mp3bullet.ng reported that the “PBUY” crooner disclosed how he got signed to Olamideโs outfit in an interview.
In the interview, he revealed that a friend had forwarded Olamide the hit song โOmo Ope,โ and that after the rapper and music executive had leapt on it, he invited the singer over.

According to Asake, Baddo, who claimed he had been keeping tabs on the singer, asked him casually if he was interested in joining the YBNL family and the rest, they say, is history.
The singer agreed to the signing as a favour because he had been texting and begging Olamide to assist him up until now.
Since Asake’s signing to YBNL, he has gone to release several hit songs like “Sungba”, “Palazzo”, “Peace Be Unto You”, and “Trabaye” among others including features.
Recently, he uploaded a photo on social media of himself standing in front of the new house he recently bought while recounting via the caption, his past struggles with accommodation.
Asake celebrated his progress from struggling to get bedspace to now owning his house.
He shared the news on his Twitter page with the caption; Went from hustling for free bedspace to investing in real estate.
