Lagos bus driver and Zinoleesky get in fight over money
A chance encounter on the bustling roads of Lagos took a bizarre turn when a Korope (small bus) driver crossed paths with popular Nigerian singer Oniyide Azeez, better known as Zinoleesky.
The unexpected altercation occurred en route to Lekki, leaving witnesses dumbfounded as the driver abruptly halted the bus mid-journey to confront the musician, seeking financial assistance.
Eyewitnesses recounted the incident, which unfolded as Darny Arts Anthony, a passenger on the Korope, captured the unfolding drama on video.
According to Anthony, the driver brought the vehicle to a sudden stop upon spotting Zinoleesky’s convoy along the road. Motivated by a quest for financial gain, the driver exited the bus, leaving passengers bewildered, to request money from the singer.
In a twist of events, instead of complying with the driver’s demands, Zinoleesky allegedly responded with physical force, reportedly delivering a punch to the driver’s face before departing. The unexpected blow left witnesses stunned, and the driver was visibly shaken.
Undeterred by the altercation, the driver purportedly re-entered the Korope and pursued Zinoleesky’s convoy, insisting that the singer owed him compensation for the encounter. The driver’s persistence further escalated the situation, attracting the attention of bystanders and adding to the tension on the busy Lagos road.
The incident, initially shared on social media by Anthony’s video, sparked a flurry of reactions from fans, many expressing disbelief at the audacity of the driver and the unexpected clash with the celebrity.
As of now, neither Zinoleesky nor the driver has issued an official statement regarding the altercation.
