James Ward-Prowse heads on loan to Nottingham Forest
James Ward-Prowse has secured a deadline day loan move to Nottingham Forest, leaving West Ham United after a brief stint.
The 29-year-old midfielder joined West Ham from Southampton last summer but saw limited action under new manager Julen Lopetegui, playing just 16 minutes this season.
His move to Forest is expected to provide him with more playing time after he fell down the pecking order in London.
Ward-Prowse was a key player for West Ham last season, making 37 Premier League appearances and contributing seven goals and seven assists.

Upon joining Forest, Ward-Prowse expressed his enthusiasm: “I’m delighted to be here. When I knew I had the opportunity to join the club and showcase my abilities, I thought it was a fantastic chance. Having played against Nottingham Forest a few times, the atmosphere here is among the best I’ve experienced in the Premier League. To now hopefully experience that week in, week out is something really special.”
Forest will face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday and then travel to Liverpool after the international break, during which Ward-Prowse could make his debut.
