Wahid L4dv has released a new project, Isolo Boy: Welcome 2 Hull City, a Calm Afro-Fusion Story of Growth and New Beginnings.
Wahid L4dv’s new EP, Isolo Boy: Welcome 2 Hull City, is more than just a collection of songs. It is a personal story told through sound, emotion, and simple but meaningful words.

Released on January 29th, 2026, the four-track EP shows the journey of a young man moving from Isolo, Lagos, to Hull City in the UK, and learning how to grow, adapt, and stay true to himself.
Blending Afrobeats, Afro-fusion, Afro Trap, hip-hop, and R&B, Wahid L4dv draws inspiration from big names like Wande Coal, Burna Boy, Fela Kuti, Wizkid, Kendrick Lamar, Playboi Carti, and Skepta.
Even with these strong influences, the EP sounds personal and original. It feels calm, reflective, and honest—something a listener of any age, even a 15-year-old, can understand and connect with.
“2pm in Hull City” — From Lagos to a New World
The opening track, “2pm in Hull City,” sets the tone for the whole EP. It talks about change, courage, and personal growth. Wahid reflects on how far he has come, both in life and in mindset. Lines like:
“Started from the bottom, now I’m here, I just have to face my fears”, and “I have travelled oceans, made decisions, I’m on a mission”
Show a clear picture of someone who has left home to chase a better future. When he says:
“Started all the way from Lasgidi, now he has taken it to Hull City” it feels proud but humble.
The song is not loud or aggressive. Instead, it flows smoothly, like someone thinking out loud about life. The music video adds to this feeling by showing real places in Hull, helping listeners see the city through Wahid’s eyes.
“Boucle Errything” — Confidence and Energy
The second track, “Boucle Errything,” brings an energy shift. This is where Wahid shows his rap side more boldly. The repeated line:
“What you put on? Boucle Errything…” sounds playful but confident. He also touches on fear, growth, and everyday struggles with lines about many days, many things, many fears.
The song feels like self-motivation, telling yourself to keep going even when life feels heavy. It’s a confident track without being arrogant, which makes it easy to enjoy.

“Comfortable” — Love and Emotional Safety
On “Comfortable,” the mood becomes softer and more emotional. This song talks about feeling safe and relaxed around someone special.
Lyrics like: “I’m comfortable, when I’m with you… don’t you leave me” show vulnerability. It feels like a quiet love song about trust and emotional comfort, not drama.
The mystery in the song makes it sweet, and the calm beat allows the words to stand out. It’s the kind of song you listen to when you want peace.
“Luv 4D Vibes (L4Dv)” — Living in the Moment
The final track, “Luv 4D Vibes,” returns to the theme of enjoying life. Wahid sings about loving good energy, good people, and positive moments. Lines like: “I don’t wanna waste no time for the gal, she gat the vibe”
focus on living in the present and choosing happiness. The song feels light and joyful, ending the EP on a relaxed and hopeful note.
Wahid L4dv does not try to impress with big words or complex ideas. Instead, he uses clear emotions, smooth sounds, and honest lyrics.
This EP is perfect for fans of Afro-fusion, Afrobeats, and emotional storytelling. It shows that growth does not have to be loud, it can be calm, steady, and real. Wahid L4dv proves he is an artist who understands himself and his journey, and this project feels like a genuine step forward in his music career.
