Due to her visa being denied, Ayra Starr’s South Africa events have been cancelled.
Nigerian sensation Ayra Starr faced a setback as her eagerly anticipated shows in South Africa had to be called off due to visa denials. The singer had previously announced performances in Cape Town and Johannesburg, creating a buzz among fans.
Originally scheduled to take place in Cape Town and Johannesburg, the events were eagerly awaited by fans. However, just days before the scheduled dates, an announcement circulated on social media confirming the cancellation.
The decision stemmed from the unfortunate denial of visas to Ayra Starr and her team. A press release stated, “We regret to announce the cancellation of both ‘In the City Ayra Starr’ Shows scheduled to take place in Joburg and Cape Town, South Africa on 16 and 17 February 2024. Regrettably, as has happened numerous times with other artists from West Africa – through no fault of their own, visas were denied. All ticket holders will be fully refunded within 7 working days. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the upcoming shows.”
Meanwhile, fans expressed their disappointment in the comments section, reflecting the widespread anticipation for the events.
Personalities like Kim Jayde and Lady Du voiced their understanding and disappointment, highlighting the challenges artistes often face with visa procedures.

In other news, Ayra Starr has sparked admiration and envy among fans with her recent acquisition of a luxurious $8,000 Dior handbag, which translates to approximately N15 million at the current black market exchange rate of $1 to N1850
The talented singer subtly unveiled her lavish purchase following a previous revelation in an interview with Beat FM, where she admitted hesitating to indulge in high-end luxury items due to her mother’s disapproval.
Well, despite her mother’s caution against such extravagant purchases, Ayra Starr proceeded to acquire the accessory, as seen in recent videos shared on her social media platforms on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
