OFFICIAL: Vinícius Jr named 2023/24 UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.
UEFA’s Technical Observer panel has named Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior as the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.
Vinícius Júnior delivered a series of outstanding performances throughout Madrid’s victorious campaign, contributing six goals, including the decisive goal in the final against Dortmund.
“I’m very happy to be able to win another Champions League with this club, which has given me so much,” said the Brazilian international after the Wembley final. “It’s an incredible thing. Not everyone can experience it and win it so many times.”

Additionally, Vinicius Jr is the fifth player to score goals in his first two Champions League finals, after Samuel Eto’o, Sergio Ramos, Lionel Messi, and Mario Mandzukic.
He also entered the Top 25 of all-time leading scorers for Real Madrid (with 83 goals) and equaled Carlos Santillana and Amancio Amaro in seventh place as the top scorer for the Whites in the Champions League.
On his way to the Champions League final this year, Vinicius proved once again to be invaluable in the competition for the eventual champions. In 10 matches, he scored 6 goals, recorded 3 shots per match, and nearly 2 key passes per match.
Now, at 23 years old, the Brazilian already has three La Liga titles, including this year, two Champions League titles, and a Copa del Rey title.
